OMG! Food is EXCELLENT! SO flavorful and everything made fresh. Seriously some of the best Indian food, I have ever had. We ordered medium spicy and it was a true medium(pretty spicy)-but how we wanted it. We ordered boneless chicken biryani, okra Masala, and chicken curry. We will be back. Can't wait to try the weekend buffet and all you can eat Wednesday Dosa night!! Oh, digital ordering via QR code and serving robot. New ownership I was told. Hope it stay as like this forever!

I like their briyani while my husband likes their gigantic dosa that is crispy and the dips are delicious! We have brought numerous out of town guests and they all had great meals here! Their service is good too!

Rivaj Mix Veg Platter - 1/5 We started with the Rivaj Mix Veg Platter which is supposed to be an assortment of samosa, veggie pakoras and aloo tiki but it was 2 aloo tikis, ONE samosa, and the rest was a pile of pakora. These are supposed to be shared with others so imagine our faces when we had to split the samosa. Good thing no one else joined us. The pakoras were really greasy and largely batter as well. Definitely not worth $11.99. Palak Paneer - 4/5 The Palak Paneer was pretty good. The flavor and texture were well balanced and we requested regular spice level which was right what we were hoping for. There was a little oil but nothing overwhelming. Priced at $13.99 I believe to be reasonable. Goat Madras - 3.5 or 4/5 The flavor of the goat was great, no game flavor to worry about. The spices were also excellent and we requested extra spicy which didn't disappoint. It didn't have a lot of bones but maybe just a little much. No fat but there was some oil. I've come to expect it from Indian food assuming it's from the ghee but if that's something you tend to not tolerate then just be aware going in. Priced at $15.99, not too bad. Khurmi Naan - 4.5/5 I love naan and wanted to try a different variety. This one is stuffed with garlic, tomatoes and chilies for $4.99. Be sure to give this a go, but with so many options to choose from you'll need multiple visits. Mango Lassi - 5/5 What can I say, it took serious self control to not finish this lassi before the main dishes were served. Smooth with an equal balance of mango and spices it was so refreshing. For $4.99 you can't beat it when it comes to cutting through these savory dishes. Service - 5/5 The waitress was kind and helpful. She double checked our order and we had no issues. She confirmed they are under new management so if you've been here in the past you may need to give things a try again.

Friendly and quick service - we came over memorial Day weekend for dinner and I got a free glass of wine for the holiday. Good selection of dishes on the menu to choose from. The paneer tikka masala was delicious - the sauce was creamy, spicy, and rich. It went perfectly with the basmati rice that was cooked to a fluffy to chewy texture. The tandoori chicken was also really good, although a little spicy for my daughter that ordered it. The chicken kabob had good flavor but was so, so dry. We will be back to try the thali for lunch?

We had a regular non-buffet dinner here - Rivaj is a strip mall-style restaurant with tables and booths. I think there were some mirror walls which made the place look a little bigger on the inside. I admit, I'm a bit of a novice with Indian food, nor do I know the big distinctions between North and South Indian. I tried to mix up the kinds of entrees when ordering. Most everything came out as curries... which is fine, cause I'm a fan. The malabar fish curry was very good. We also got the naan bread basket (which is like a variety basket) and although it was a little pricey, the naan never ran out. The gulab jamon dessert is also one of my standbys. It was also a bit pricey for 3 small ones, but I recognize I have no context for how much they should go for since I see them at the buffets. We asked the waiter some questions (like 'what does Rivaj mean?') and he didn't know, but we were just having fun.

Amazing food! I especially loved the Malabar fish curry and chicken makhani. We also got the bread basket, with a variety of bread flavors, all very fresh and delicious! It's a casual dining atmosphere. We went here on a weekday evening, and there was plenty of seating. We were seated right away, and service was polite and prompt. I would absolutely come back here to try more dishes.

Rivaj is a nice restaurant to grab tasty North and South Indian food. They have a nice variety on their menu, and the prices are reasonable. The biggest plus of this restaurant is their consistency in delivering good tasting quality food. I have had takeout as well as dined here. I have had good experiences in all of my visits. I like that Rivaj makes food taste mild, medium, or spicy based on your liking without compromising the flavor. I like their non-vegetarian dishes a lot, especially chicken and goat dishes. Also, they have a Dosa (South Indian rice crepes) buffet every Wednesday night where you get to try different varieties of Dosas (unlimited orders). The buffet also includes other dishes that you can choose from that include North Indian dishes (veg/ non-vegetarian). If you haven't checked out Rivaj, then definitely give them a try. They are worth a visit.
